How to eat your way through the Xi’an Muslim Quarter in China

 

China is huge, so regional variations in cuisine are not only to be expected, but also delighted in. While Xian is more popularly known for the Terracotta Warriors, its Muslim Quarter dedicated to street food is a wonder in itself. There’s too much here to cover in one post, so I’ll just include visual snippets from our visit (such as the giant flower shaped candy floss pictured above). At night the Bell Tower and Drum Tower light up, there are people EVERYWHERE, and yet it is still the food that continues to be the star of the show.
